Abu Kamara insists that complacency will not be a factor when Pompey welcome Barnsley to Fratton Park on Tuesday evening.
Just one more point is required to secure League One promotion, while a win would send the hosts up as champions.
The opposition are also eager for a positive result, however, as they try to confirm a spot in the play-offs.
So Kamara expects nothing less than a tough test, although he is still confident that the Blues can secure their desired outcome.
The forward said: “All the boys know it’s just one point needed for us to go up, so we want to go out there and put on a performance for the fans.
“We could have done it on Saturday, but I think most people would take a draw at Bolton in any other scenario.
"We’re going to have to turn up and produce a good performance if we want to come away with a positive result."
“It would have been nice to finish the job there, although now there’s an opportunity for us to do that at Fratton Park.
“Barnsley are a tough side, though – they’re position in the table shows that. They’re not just going to turn up and let us walk all over them.
“We’re going to have to turn up and produce a good performance if we want to come away with a positive result.
“But we back ourselves in every game – whether it’s home or away – and nothing’s going to change that.”
Kamara found the target in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Wanderers, which took the Norwich loanee’s tally for the season into double figures.
He said: “It’s not too bad, but I always want more goals and assists, so hopefully I can still add to that before the end of the season.
“It was probably one of the best I’ve scored on Saturday and I was pleased with the little reverse finish.”
