Welcome to the Wall of Fame FAQ section. Hopefully this page will answer any questions you may have regarding the development or your order.
What is the Wall of Fame?
Portsmouth FC’s Wall of Fame will be made up of panels of personalised engraved stones, installed on the walls within Fratton Park and dedicated to the club’s greatest players. Panels are to be installed in the Fratton End, North and South stands.
Why is the Wall of Fame being created?
To provide supporters with the opportunity to have a permanent place in Portsmouth FC history by creating a lasting tribute to some of the players and supporters, past and present, that have made Portsmouth the team we love. At the same time, the Wall of Fame will enhance the look of Fratton Park and create a lasting feature that will define Portsmouth Football Club and the fans that support it.
Who can buy Wall of Fame Stones?
Everyone is able to buy a stone at the Wall of Fame.
What Stone(s) can I buy?
You can choose from a range of blue and white stones in three different sizes to be installed in the Wall of Fame.
The Single Stone (20x10cm)
The Single Stone has up to 2 lines of 14 characters per line (spaces & punctuation count as characters) in gold lettering .
The Double Stone (20x20cm)
The Double Stone has up to 3 lines of 14 characters per line (spaces & punctuation count as characters) and includes the Pompey logo.
The Large Stone (40x40cm)
The Large Stone has up to 3 lines of 16 characters per line (spaces & punctuation count as characters) and includes the Pompey logo.
You can also purchase a replica of your purchase and have it delivered to your home. Replica products are boxed and dispatched by courier to a location of your choice (UK addresses only).
Are the letters painted on top of the stone?
No, the letters are actually engraved into the stone to make the lettering more hardwearing.
What are Replica Stones?
A replica is a personal copy of your Wall of Fame stone for your own home or to give as a personal gift. These stones are exact copies of the original stone installed in the Wall of Fame. You can use your replica in many ways e.g. Put it on the mantelpiece or simply give it to a friend or loved one as a memento.
How will I receive my Replica Stone(s)?
These stones will be dispatched to you by mail order in a protective display box. Unfortunately, owing to their weight and tracking issues, we can only send replica stones to addresses in the UK.
What can I have engraved on my stone?
Any message or dedication you wish (as long as it is polite) e.g. No defamatory remarks are allowed and Portsmouth FC reserves the right to not allow messages. You can select up to 14 characters per line, spaces & punctuation included, or 16 characters for larger stones.

How will I know if my order has been received?
You will receive an email confirming your order details and inscription request. Please check it carefully and if you need to contact us, please email walloffame@pompeyfc.co.uk (including your order reference) and allow us up to 48 hours to reply. We will send a personalised certificate to you in the post with 28 days of your order, after which your stone will be included in the production schedule.
What is on the certificate?
The certificate includes the inscription on the stone and the stones unique reference number. In due course you will use this number to help locate your stone in the wall. The certificate does not include the purchaser’s name.
When can I expect to receive my certificate?
We will be sending out certificates within 28 days of your order date. Please don’t ask us to make them any quicker! Each certificate is personalised to reflect your inscription / stone requirements, digitally printed and dispatched in a protective envelope.
Will the certificates have the recipient’s name on them?
No, the certificates will simply show the stone type and the inscription that you have chosen to have engraved on it.
Can I change the inscription that I entered when I placed my order?
If for any reason the inscription details are not correct, please log into your account page and amend them online. Please note that it is important that you do this as quickly as possible as orders cannot be amended if a stone has been marked for production. If you want to make changes having received your certificate, we can only accept requests that are in writing to walloffame@pompeyfc.co.uk (including your order reference), made this way and received within ten days of the date it was received. After this, no further changes can be made without incurring a cost.
Can I change part of my order (stone type or colour)?
If stones are ordered at the same time we will need to cancel the complete order and refund the total amount, leaving you free to place another order online, this time just selecting the single stone that you require. Please drop a note to walloffame@pompeyfc.co.uk (including your order reference if this is what you would like to do.
How long will the stones last?
The stones will last indefinitely; however, we can only guarantee that they will be in the Wall of Fame for 5 years. This is the minimum but we have every reason to believe they will be there for years to come.
When are they being installed?
The first phase of the Wall of Fame will be installed before the end of the current season.
When can I expect to receive my replica stone(s)?
Replica stones will be sent out within 28 days of the corresponding stone being installed at the Wall of Fame.
How much do the Stones cost?
Please note that a charge for postage and packaging will be added to the prices above for replica products.
How many Stones can I order?
As many as you like!
How do I pay for the Stone(s) ?
Online: With credit/debit card - VISA, MASTERCARD, DELTA, MAESTRO, and SWITCH
Can I choose my location?
Yes, to some extent. Stones will be installed in the Fratton End, North and South stands. We will notify you prior to installation advising you to confirm where (stand) you would like your stone to be installed. If we are unable to contact you with the details you submitted with your order or we don’t receive a response in the timeframe indicated, we will allocate you a space within one of the panels.
As I have ordered more than one stone, will they be placed together?
Orders are being processed and spaces allocated on a first come first installed basis and therefore we can’t guarantee the specific locations of individual stones. However if you have purchased more than one stone in the same transaction it’s likely that they will be installed within a similar area, but not necessarily side by side.
Is it possible to have my stone placed next to someone else’s or by a legend of my choice?
We can’t confirm that your stone will be placed in a specific legend’s section. Orders are being processed and spaces allocated by our system on a first come first installed basis and therefore we can’t guarantee the specific legends of individual stones.
How can I find my Stone?
Each stone purchased will be issued with a certificate and a unique number. We have provided a stone locator within the order system where you check your location details as and when they become available.
Do I need a ticket to view the Wall of Fame?
Yes, stones are only able to be viewed inside the stadium so you will need a match day ticket to gain entrance.
Can I buy a stone as a gift?
Yes, you can buy a stone(s) for someone else. The letter confirming your purchase and the certificate will come to you - the purchaser, to check the inscription we have is correct before we engrave the stone. You can then give the certificate which shows the inscription on the stone as a gift. The certificate does not contain the purchaser’s name unless it is part of the inscription.
When will the stones be installed at the Wall of Fame?
We will begin installation towards the end of the season and keep you up to date with progress via
